Dear sister

Here’s little poem I wrote quite quickly, about an encounter I had with my “Dear sister” yesterday, enjoy!

People need so little encouragement’

As you came to me

As we sat on my bed

The cat and I looked at you

While you ask for a simple favour.

The request settled,

You asked without much consequence,

If I was feeling alright.

To which I replied… I am not.

Something happened today,

As it should often,

And now, I wish I knew

Who I was again.

You stood at the edge,

And indirectly,

You told me what you saw in me,

What I meant to you as a sister.

Your words as foundations blocks,

I built myself back up,

You made my evening a little brighter,

And for that I say thank you.

With love,

Little Owlegion
